Creative guidelines
Everything you need to prepare your ad. Send us your files through the private upload link we give you once your package is paid; we review everything (usually within a day) before it goes live.
1. Pictures (all placements)
| File types | PNG, JPEG or WebP. Not accepted: GIF, SVG, animated pictures, video. |
|---|---|
| Best size | 128 × 128 pixels, square. A larger picture is fine: the upload page shrinks it for you (longest side about 128 px). |
| File weight | The finished picture must be under about 28 KB. Simple shapes and flat colours shrink best; photos usually do not fit. |
| Background | A transparent PNG looks best on a sprite. Keep about 10% empty space around the edge. |
| How big it appears | About 10% of the game's width: roughly 40 pixels on a phone and up to 100 pixels on a computer screen. Design for small: one bold shape, no thin lines, no small text inside the picture. |
| Instead of a picture | You may use a single emoji (it scales perfectly and needs no file). |
2. Where your ad can appear
| Sponsored sprite (Sprite, Room, Title packages) |
Your picture or emoji falls now and then among the food. Players tap it for a flat bonus (we set it, usually +20 points, at most 3 taps count per round, appears for about 1 in 10 falling items). It is always labelled "Sponsored". Text is optional. |
|---|---|
| Banner (all packages) |
A picture or emoji plus one line of text (up to 60 characters, required). Shown on the main menu, the lobby and the results screen, never during a round. An https link is optional. |
| Tournament name (Title Sponsor) |
Text only, up to 60 characters, for example "Garri Cup". It appears above a leaderboard with "presented by" your name. |
| Branded room (Room and Title packages) |
Your own room in the game: room name (3 to 40 characters), your colours, your sprite as the falling item, and your own leaderboard with your name on it. Difficulty and round length (30, 60 or 90 seconds) are agreed with us. |
3. Room colours
Give us two colours as hex codes (for example #14301f):
- Background: the room fades from this colour to black. Choose a dark or medium colour so white text stays easy to read.
- Accent: used for the room name, buttons and outlines. Choose a bright, clearly different colour.
Tip: avoid pure white or very light backgrounds, and avoid two colours that are close to each other.
4. Tap sound (optional)
You can choose one of six built-in sounds that plays when a player taps your sprite (also inside your room) or your banner. Press a button to hear it:
- Short (under a second) and quiet; the same volume for every advertiser.
- Players can switch all sound off in their account, and then nothing plays.
- We do not accept uploaded sound files (it keeps volume safe and the game fast). Need something custom? Ask us and we will talk it through.
5. Links and text
- Links must start with
https://, have no spaces, and lead to a real, legal business page. They open in a new tab. - Text is 60 characters at most. No phone numbers or personal data.
- You must own, or have permission to use, every picture, name and logo.
6. Content rules
Tap Tap is for a general audience. We do not accept:
- gambling or betting;
- adult content;
- political parties, candidates or campaigns;
- alcohol, tobacco, vaping or drugs;
- weapons;
- miracle cures or get-rich-quick offers, or anything misleading;
- hate, harassment or anything aimed at children;
- anything that collects personal data under false pretences.
Every upload waits for our approval. If you change an approved ad it needs approval again. Players can report an ad, and a reported ad may be paused while we look at it.
7. Running dates and renewal
Once we have approved your ad and recorded your payment, your campaign starts by itself on its start date and stops by itself after its end date. Your private report page shows the days left and has a button to ask for a renewal.
